Folding Japanese Saw — User Guide

User guide for your Thorvald Folding Japanese Saw. The principle: a Japanese saw cuts on the pull stroke, for clean, precise cuts.

🎥 The saw in action

🧰 How to use

  1. Unfold and lock: open the blade until it locks; 2 notches let you adjust the cutting angle to the job.
  2. Cut on the pull stroke: unlike a western saw, the blade cuts as you pull it towards you. Don't press on the return stroke: let the teeth do the work.
  3. Flush cutting: the flexible blade lies flat against the surface to trim dowels and plugs without damaging the wood.
  4. Fold after use: the blade stores in the handle: safe to carry and store.
